Rhode Island CLE Requirements
Attorney Requirements
Rhode Island attorneys are required to complete 10 hours of CLE each year. At least 2 hours must be in the area of Ethics Attorneys must earn the required MCLE credits by June 30th and report by June 30th each year.
Attorneys may carryover up to 10 hours of CLE credit to the following year.
Newly Admitted Attorneys
Newly admitted attorneys in Rhode Island must complete the one-day Rhode Island Bridge the Gap. The course shall be taken in person (or online) within the first full MCLE reporting year (July 1 to June 30) after being admitted.
Online Courses
Nebraska attorneys may earn all 10 hours of CLE credit through online on demand courses and webinars.
