Colorado CLE Requirements

Attorney Requirements

Colorado attorneys are required to complete 45 hours of CLE every 3 years. At least 7 hours must be in the area of Ethics. Attorneys must earn the required MCLE credits by December 31st and report by January 31st each reporting period.

Attorneys in Colorado may not carry over CLE credits to the following reporting period.

Newly Admitted Attorneys

Newly admitted attorneys must take a mandatory course "Practicing with Professionalism" before they are admitted. This course satisfies 6 General credits towards the first compliance period.

Online Courses

Colorado attorneys fulfill their CLE requirements through online videos or webinars.
