Indiana CLE Requirements

Attorney Requirements

Indiana attorneys are required to complete 36 hours of CLE every 3 years with a minimum of 6 hours per year. At least 3 hours must be in the area of Ethics or Professional Responsibility. Attorneys must earn the required MCLE credits by December 31st and report by December 31st of their reporting period.

Attorneys may not carry over CLE credits to the following year.

Newly Admitted Attorneys

In addition to regular reporting requirements, newly admitted attorneys are required to complete an approved 6 hour Applied Professionalism program or a mentoring program approved for applied professionalism credit.

Online Courses

Indiana attorneys may view up to 18 hours of CLE through online courses.
