Missouri CLE Requirements

Attorney Requirements

Missouri attorneys are required to complete 15 hours of CLE each year. At least 2 hours must be in the areas of professionalism, substance abuse and mental health, legal or judicial ethics, or malpractice prevention. At least 1 hour must be in the areas of cultural competency, diversity, inclusion, and implicit bias. Attorneys must earn the required MCLE credits by June 30th and report by July 31st each year.

Attorneys may carryover up to 15 hours of CLE credit to the following year.

Online Courses

Missouri attorneys must earn at least 9 hours of CLE credit through live events, including webcasts. Ethics credits must be earned through live events. Attorneys may earn up to 6 hours of CLE credit through on demand courses.
