Connecticut CLE Requirements

Attorney Requirements

Connecticut attorneys are required to complete 12 hours of CLE each year. At least 2 hours must be in the area of Ethics. Attorneys must earn the required MCLE credits by December 31st and report by February 28th each year.

Attorneys may carryover up to 2 hours of general CLE credit to the following year.

Newly Admitted Attorneys

Newly Admitted Attorneys are not required to complete any CLE credits in the year that they are admitted.

Online Courses

Connecticut attorneys may view all 12 hours of CLE through online courses.
