Kentucky CLE Requirements
Attorney Requirements
Kentucky attorneys are required to complete 12 hours of CLE each year. At least 2 hours must be in the area of Ethics or Professional Responsibility. Attorneys must earn the required MCLE credits by June 30th and report by August 10th each year.
Attorneys may carryover up to 24 hours of CLE credit for up to 2 years.
Newly Admitted Attorneys
Within 12 months following the date of admission as set forth on the certificate of admission, each person admitted to membership to the Kentucky Bar Association shall complete the New Lawyer Program.
The program is offered twice a year, in January or early February and in conjunction with the KBA Annual Convention in May or June.
Online Courses
Kentucky attorneys may view all 12 hours of CLE through online courses.
